We are pleased to announce that from 4th to 6th of December 2019 in Trento (Italy) we are organizing a workshop on “Photonic Reservoir Computing and information processing in complex network” at the premises of the Bruno Kessler Foundation.
The workshop is organized within the ERC AdG project Backup “Unveiling the relationship between brain connectivity and function by integrated photonics” and the PRIN project PELM “Photonic Extreme Learning Machine: from neuromorphic computing to universal optical interpolant, strain gauge sensor and cancer morphodynamic monitor”.
The workshop directors are prof. Lorenzo Pavesi (University of Trento), prof. Claudio Conti (University of Rome - La Sapienza) and dr. Manlio De Domenico (Bruno Kessler Foundation).
The aim of the workshop is to make the point on neuromorphic photonics and complex systems. We wish to individuate future research directions on the photonic implementations of neuromorphic computing using the reservoir computing concept. Both physicists, computer scientists, biologists and engineers will be invited. The objective is to form a community of people interested to collaborate on these topics from different points of view. We will also look to the ways to have common future project to strengthen this collaboration.
