The SPIE Chapter workshop "Photonics as a key enabling technology" will be held on December 10th starting from 2.00 p.m. in room B104, Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico, Fabio Ferrari.

It is our pleasure to announce the SPIE Chapter workshop "Photonics as a key enabling technology" 2019.

Photonics studies photons and their interaction with matter, both in terms of fundamental and applied research. The aim of this science is the understanding of the phenomena ruling the behaviour of photons, in order to boost the development of novel technologies and applications based on light. In this sense, photonics is a key enabling technology, with its central role in many fields of science, ranging from remote sensing to engineering, from telecommunication to biology.

This workshop aims to create a fruitful discussion between the various research group, working with light and photonics, and at the same time offer an educational moment to the students.
